Pilipinas Got Talent Results Night Replay

The Pilipinas Got Talent is done and over with, and yet a lot of Filipinos around the world are still raving over the results and performance of Jovit Baldivino, the first winner of ABS-CBN's Pilipinas Got Talent.

Philippine Election 2010 Tallies Stuck at 90%

Update: Ok, real update on the Eleksyon 2010, Halalan 2010, Philippine Elections 2010 or whatever the Philippine local TV stations call it. For a while there, I thought that in a maximum of a 3-day span all Philippine elected officials would be declared. Despite obvious faults with the automated system, the tallies got off to a fast start. Unfortunately, we are nearing the weekend and the results are still stuck at 90%. But, by the looks of it, Noynoy Aquino will likely be President Elect. Binay and Roxas are still gutting it out for the Vice-Presidency with Binay leading by less than a million votes.

Halalan | Philippine Elections 2010 Results

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday said that the one-hour extension of voting will also delay the transmission of election results.
"Oo, uurong talaga (Yes, the extension will definitely delay the transmission)," said Comelec spokesman James Jimenez.
The poll body official issued the statement after the Comelec extended voting by one hour because of the delays that marred the start of voting on early Monday.
Voting was supposed to close at 6 p.m. but the one-hour extension moved the closing of polls to 7 p.m.
Jimenez said that although the polls will officially close at 7 p.m., which means voting centers will no longer admit voters who come in later, the precincts will probably keep open until 8 p.m. to accommodate all the voters awaiting their turn. "After you actually close, marami pang seremonyas (there remain many more formalities to do)," he said.
He said that the most "realistic" estimate is that the first batch of unconsolidated precinct results will begin coming in at 9 or 10 p.m. on Monday. He added that they expect to be able to get the bulk of the results by 3 a.m. on May 11.
But the spokesman said that they still expect to have partial official consolidated results within 48 hours. — Kimberly Jane T. Tan/JV, GMANews.TV

Saudi Hailstorm

As a follow up to my highest tech-unrelated keyword Riyadh Heavy Rains and Hailstorm, here's a few more pictures which I received from my Email. This time, it's in the northern part of Saudi Arabia.

The people of Saudi Arabia, which are mostly Islam, look to this as one of the, albeit, minor signs of the last days wherein, Arabia will become green.

NBA East and West Conference Finals

Even with Steve Nash's swollen eye that looked like it came from a boxing match ala-Pacquiao-Marquez, nothing could stop the Los Suns from earning a trip to the Western Conference Finals after sweeping the San Antonio Spurs, the team that always got in their way, in a vengeful 4-0. They are now waiting for their opponents from the Lakers - Jazz match, although by the looks of it, it's going to be the Phoenix Suns vs. The Los Angelese Lakers Western Conference Finals.

Down 0-3, the Atlanta Hawks are going to need a miracle against last year's Eastern Conference Finals champs, Orlando Magic. But as the NBA history goes, no team has ever come back from a 0-3 deficit. Almost assuredly, the Orlando Magic are going back to the Eastern Conference Finals with their opponents from the winner in the Boston Celtics - Cleveland Cavaliers match.

Forget the Big Three (Garnett, Pierce, and Allen), it's one-on-one now. Rondo, playing bigger than the 'old' Big Three has evened the series to 2-2 and has frustrated Lebron James. Who's laughing now?! Lebron shrugged off their game 2 loss and put on a sterling performance in game 3, but came up wanting in game 4. The Cleveland Cavaliers had this carefree demeanor again last year at it cost them the return trip to the Finals, will it cost them even more this conference?
