Facebook is going to intergrate with the new version of Skype allowing its users to easily logon into Skype using Facebook Connect. The Facebook-Skype partnership will also allow users to text message, voice and video chat with their Facebook friends all from within Skype.
This partnership between Skype and Facebook is a sure win for both companies. Facebook gets access to one of the best (if not the best) voice and video calling platforms and Skype gets a super boost to its already 500-strong registered users. Of course, this goes both ways, but with the integration of Skype, many Facebook users who never knew about Skype may want to try it out.
