This is going to be one hot phone! Nokia's first smartphone, the N8, that will be featuring the Symbian^3 Os. It will be featuring a 3.5-inche OLED Capacitive touchscreen, a12 mega pixel Carl Zeiss Camera with Xenon Flash, supporting HD recording, on-phone editing and HDMI and the more common features like bluetooth, microUSB and WiFi. The processor is quite a setback featuring only a 680MHz ARM11 processor but comes with a 3D Graphics HW Accelerator with OPENGL-ES 2.0 support. As seen in current competing phones, the N8 will have multiple and personalized homescreens with widget support, multitasking, multitouch, access to WebTv and Ovi Store apps, free Ovi Maps and integration with Qt software development environment all to be available in the 3rd quarter of 2010. Lets see how this is going to compete with the other smartphones [like the upcoming HTC Evo 4 and iPhone 4]. Aside from the processor, everything looks promising.
