Do you own or know somebody who owns Toshiba laptops with models Satellite T135, Satellite T135D and Satellite ProT130?
Toshiba is recalling these laptops due to overheating at the notebook's plug-in to the AC adapter which poses a burn hazard.
So far there have been 129 reports of the Toshiba T Series laptops overheating and deforming the plastic casing aroun the AC adapter plug including reports of minor burn injuries and minor laptop damage.
To check if you own one of these defective Toshiba laptops, the brand "Toshiba" is printed on top of the laptop and the model name and number are printed on a label on the bottom.
In case you are unable to return your Toshiba T Series laptops, Toshiba has offered a fix for consumers. Proceed to http://laptops.toshiba.com/about/consumer-notices and download the latest version of Toshiba's BIOS firmware.
The update will detect whether the notebook computer is overheating, and if so, disable the notebook computer's external power and display a message directing the consumer to contact Toshiba for a free repair.
