If you're not familiar with the T9 software on your mobiles, it's an application which guesses the word people are thinking of as they text. Swype takes this technology one step further.
Instead of pressing individual letters, just drag your finger from one letter to the other in a fluid, faster motion, the Swype software then calculates which word was intended by the combination of the letters touched upon. Your movements do not even have to be precise because the Swype software can work it out.
Currently, Samsung and Nokia are already using the Swype technology on their smartphones. You can also download a Swype beta version for your Android mobile at http://beta.swype.com.
